Agreement to Mediate
This document is used when scheduling a mediation, and we want all participants to have an opportunity to read the SVMG Agreement to Mediate in advance. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Confidentiality Agreement 
Mediation is a confidential process, and we want all participants to have an opportunity to read the SVMG Confidentiality Agreement in advance of the mediation. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Ethical Practices and Professional Standards 
All SVMG mediators are professionally trained, have many years of experience, and subscribe to the highest standards for professional conduct. I will resend this document to correct indenting issues.

  • October 2011 - Mike, Carol and Nancy co-authored "Seven Benefits of Mediation" in the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce's monthly newsletter.
  • September 2011 - Nancy co-presented "So You Think You Know Everything About Mediation—Think Again" to members of the Palo Alto Area Bar Association at their monthly meeting.
  • September 2011 - Mike was elected President of the League of California Cities at their annual meeting held in San Francisco.
  • August 2011 - Nancy, Carol and Mike co-authored "Ten Ways to Improve Mediation Settlement Rates," appearing in Case in Point published by the National Judicial College. 
  • July 2011 - Mike was appointed to the board of directors of the Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency as well as to the Silicon Valley Leadership Group Housing Leadership Council.
  • July 2011 - Nancy presented her 40-hour Comprehensive Mediation course to judges from around the US at the National Judicial College in Reno, NV.
  • May 2011 - Mike moderated a panel on Public Employee Pension Reform in Sacramento, CA.
  • May 2011--Carol, Mike and Nancy presented a 3-hour, MCLE program on how attorneys can avoid mediation mistakes to members of the Bar Association of San Francisco.
  • March 2011 - Nancy presented a 40-hour Civil Mediation course at the National Judicial College. This marks her 17th year as faculty.
  • March 2011 - Mike moderated a National League of Cities Economic Development forum in Washington D.C.
  • February 2011 - Carol, Mike and Nancy presented a 2-hour MCLE program to members of the Solano County Bar Association on the 7 Costly Mistakes Attorneys Make in Mediation.
  • January 2011 - Mike was elected Vice Mayor of the City of Mountain View.
  • October 2010 - Nancy Yeend presented a program on breaking impass to Palo Alto mediators.

Community Involvement

  • Carol Millie is working with Ventana School which plans to offer first grade instruction in the Reggio Emillia approach currently practiced in its preschool and kindergarten school.
  • Mike Kasperzak is the former Mayor and currently serving as Vice Mayor of Mountain View.
  • Nancy Yeend volunteers for the Peninsula Humane Society's Wildlife Rescue Education Team, helping children understand how to coexist with wild animals that live in our community.
